Our Story

Aptus Technology Ltd. [Aptus] is a long-established and highly-regarded IT support company based in Reigate, Surrey. We are an open, friendly, but highly professional company, with an excellent reputation amongst our Clients for our speed of response and our ability to resolve issues quickly.

A word from the Founder

Let me introduce myself. I’m Chris West, Founder and Managing Director of Aptus Technology.

I’ve loved computers since I first encountered them when my parents bought a Sinclair ZX Spectrum. As the years went by, my interest in them grew. By the time I turned 16, I was building them. It was obvious that my calling was in IT.

After studying computer science at university, I worked in IT for a number of companies. I really enjoyed the work – solving problems, creating solutions, helping people – but I found being an employee frustrating. Eventually, I decided to take a chance and go it alone. In April 2002, I set up Aptus Technology as an independent Managed Service Provider.

My aim from the beginning was to create an open, friendly, but highly professional company and build a solid reputation amongst our future clients for our speed of response and our ability to resolve their issues quickly and comprehensively. As we move into our third decade of continuous operations, with a large and growing client base, some of whom have been with us since the beginning, I think we can confidently say we’ve achieved what we set out to do. Here’s to the next twenty years.

Partnering with Schools & Businesses

We engage widely with our local communities through a number of initiatives under out our Social Values Program. For example, with our New Ventures Support Package, we offer commitment-free IT services to newly formed companies.

We also believe sport is a great way of bringing people together and show this through our support of a number of local teams. And, of course, we are making significant progress in line with our Environmental and Sustainability policies towards a greener future.
